
Inca trail to Machu Picchu 4 days
INCA TRAIL MACHU PICCHU
It took 4 days to do this trek, both complicated
and wonderful. You have to go through tropical zone, follow the mountain, and
reach a pass at 4200 m. But the culmination point is when you arrive in Machu
Picchu in the morning with an impressive view on the Mountain form the Sun Gate
(la Puerta del Sol). You have to “deserve your Machu Picchu”.
To do this trek, you have to go with a travel
agency, because you can’t do it alone anymore. Furthermore, the access is
limited to 500 persons a day, so you have to reserve it with anticipation.



Very early we will
leave Cusco by bus. At the Km.82, we will start our trek travel time. It will
be approximately 5 - 6 hours for the first day. On the way we will see the
Archaeological remains of Llactapata. Then go up to Wayllabamba, our first
camp, fter visiting the archaeological site of the same name.
The meals included are
the lunch and the dinner.

During the second day of treeking: start walking
very early, always in the company of our guide. We will begin the ascent toward
the passage of approximately 4200 m: Warmi Huañusca. Something difficult but
not impossible; after 6-7 hours of walking we reach our camp Chaquicocha where
we will spend the night.
The meals included are the breakfast, lunch and
dinner.

After taking our
breakfast we will start the tour. We will have panoramic views of the
mountains, animals, flora and wildlife. On the way, We will visit the
Archaeological site of Runkuracay, Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca. Then we will
have the opportunity to observe the other Archaeological site called Wiñaywayna,
where our last camp will be located.

We get up early after our breakfast, and after saying good bye to our porters, We begin the descent to the citadel of Machu Picchu on the way visit Intipuncu continuing the journey we arrive at our destination MACHU PICCHU, visit the lost city of the inkas with your guide for approximately two hours, then you will have a free time to explore the sacred city on your own.. Before going down to Aguas Calientes (optional bus) and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco by bus.
