Cusco is waiting for you!
You have to take at least 5 days to visit the main touristics attractions of Cusco as its squares, its museums, its churches, its local market, its craft market, its neighborhood of artisans, its historical streets, its Inca monuments.
But also archeological complexes around Cusco such as: Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and the impressive Machu Picchu.
Day 1: Arrival to Cusco
At indicated time, reception in Cosco's airport and transfer to the hotel: The rest of your day is free as you can get used to the altitude.
The accomodation will be in the hotel of your choice.
OPTION: You have the possiblity to visit Cusco in a tour of half a day, with a private or a group service.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas - Machu Picchu
All day long: In the morning, there will be a pick up from your hotel in Cusco to go to the east side of the Sacred Valley.
Our first stop will be Pisac village to visit the famous craft market that takes place every day, and also the local market on Sundays.
Then we visit the part of the archeological complex located at the top of the mountain. Here we make a short walk to visit the part of the Inca cemetery and the administrative sector of the complex from where you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding terraces as well as crops in the irrigated valleys Willcamayu River (Sacred River).
Around midday we will continue to the town of Urubamba for lunch (free). In the afternoon we will arrive to Ollantaytambo to visit the Inca archeological complex built impressively to control and protect this part of the valley.
At the end of the day we will take the train from Ollantaytambo to the village of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes, 1h30), where we will spend the night to rise early in the morning the next day to Machu Picchu.
NOTE: You have to leave the hotel in Cusco with a backpack or small suitcase with everything for 2 nights outside Cusco. Be careful, the weight is limited to 7 kilos per person on the train between Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes.
Day 3: Machupicchu - Ollantaytambo
This day we'll get up early in the morning to catch the bus to the entrance of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu (30 minutes).
Then, we will have a guided tour of approximately 3 hours around the archeological complex and its different areas such as the Sun Temple, the Astronomical Observatory, the Temple of the Condor, the Agricultural Sector, the House of the Guardian and many more visits.
Then you will have free time to enjoy some additional walks such as Inti Punku or Puerta del Sol freely. Here, you will have a spectacular view on the Machu Picchu and on the neighboring mountains.
In the afternoon, return by bus to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we will spend the night.

OPTION: the rise to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain is limited, so you have to reserve it with anticipation. It has an additional cost of $12 per person.
Day 4: Ollantaytambo - Salineras de Maras - Moray - Chincheros - Cusco
Pick up from the hotel in the morning and come back to Cusco with various stops on the way.
First Maras, where we can see the salt exploitation work, at 10 000 feet, still traditionally exploited by the villagers since several centuries. Then, we will go towards the Moray Inca complex constructions to appreciate its circular terraces that used to be like laboratory for some Inca agricultural experimentation.
Finally, we will visit the Inca archaeological complex of Chinchero and its beautiful colonial church that hosts valuable paintings and sculptures created by renowned artists. We may also visit a textile workshop in one of the local families’ home, dedicated to this art passed down from generation to generation.
Come back to Cusco in the afternoon.

Day 5: Departure from Cusco
At the indicated time, transfer from your hotel to the airport or bus terminal.
