Huchuy Qosqo trek in the Sacred Valley during 4 days
Go on adventure through the Inca Sacred Valley in the heart of beautiful landscapes! During your trip, we will cross the Urubamba cordillera, snow-covered summits and the subtropical valley.
During the Huchuy Qosqo trek, we will admire colored lagoons, hot water springs and Inca sites.
In those regions, the farmers conserved agricultural traditions and textiles like the weaving of their clothes, with bright colors and Incas patterns, made with llama or Alpaca wool. You will see local communities stuck in past time.
This trek will allow you to share things of the daily life with locals.
Day 1: Cusco Patabamba Huchuy Qosqo
Depart from the hotel at 8:00 AM, to start our adventure. We will leave by bus to the village of Qorao, and we will have again 45 minutes of bus by track to the village of Patabamba. Here, we will begin our trek with about 5 hours hiking, crossing fields of farmers. You will see beautiful sight failsafe the Sacred Valley and the neighbors mountains with the summit snow-covered, some of which reach more 6000 meters of altitude.
You will spend the night in a local inhabitant’s house, near the site of Huchuy Qosqo at 3550 meters of altitude.
Day 2 : Huchuy Qosqo Lamay Urubamba Ollantaytambo Patacancha
After the breakfast, we will visit the site of Huchuy Qosqo, considered as the old Cusco which used to be a palace for the Inca Wiracoha.
After, we will come down to the village of Urubamba to take your breakfast and you will visit a colored market. During the afternoon, we will continue along the valley to arrive at the village of Ollantaytambo and we will go by car at the community of Patacancha (3800 meters) where we will spend the second night with a local inhabitant.
Day 3 : Patacancha Willaoq Ollantaytambo Aguas Calientes
After the breakfast, we will go for a day of quiet walking. First, we will go at the village of Willoq where is located an ancestral community, where the inhabitants still wear traditional clothes, like the poncho. Down the mountain, we will visit the Inca site of Pumamarca (3300 meters). At the beginning of the afternoon, arrival at Ollantaytambo, panoramic visit of Inca site and the actual village considered as a living museum.
You will have free time later to enjoy and discover the local market. At 03:37 PM precisely, departure by train to Aguas Calientes, down the Machu Picchu Mountain. Here, we will pass the night in a small hotel.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu Cusco
Very early in the morning, departure by shuttle at the site of the Machu Picchu to observe the sunrise. The complete guided visit of the site will last 2h30. After, you can climb the mountain of the Huayna Picchu in order to have a beautiful panorama of the Machu Picchu and the mountains all around.
During the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes to take the train to the village of Ollantaytambo and after we will take the bus to Cusco. Arrival in the night to Cusco.
